Frequently Asked Questions

Here you can get answers to the most popular questions
What is CBD?
CBD is short for Cannabidiol, one of the major cannabinoids found in the hemp and cannabis plant. It is produced as CBDA (CBD acid) by the plant, and converted into the active form by heat, either through smoking or heating during processing (decarboxylation). CBD and the other cannabinoids interact with receptors in the human body, part of what is known as the endocannabinoid system.
What can CBD do for me?
People have reported a number of benefits from CBD, and studies have shown that CBD has notable antioxidative and neuroprotective effects. We can't say much more, becuase the FDA has irrationally refused to approve CBD for the treatment of specific health or medical conditions.
Will CBD (or CBG) get me high?
No! CBD and CBG are not intoxicating.
Do your products contain THC?
Our CBD and CBG products are full-spectrum products, which means that they contain the full spectrum of chemical compounds found in our hemp plants. This includes trace amounts of the major cannabinoids, including Delta-9 THC. For example, each of our CBD gummies contains 25 mg of CBD, and 1 mg of THC. All of our products contain less than 0.3% THC.
What is CBG?
CBG is short for Cannabigerol, one of the other major cannabinoids found in the hemp and cannabis plant. It is known as the “mother cannabinoid” because it is the precursor molecule to both CBD and THC. In most hemp and cannabis plants, the CBG is naturally metabolized into CBDA, THCA, and CBCA as the plant matures. In some hemp strains, like our White CBG plants, the CBG remains throughout the life cycle of the plant.

Like CBD, people have reported benefits from CBG. Studies have shown that CBG also has antioxidative and neuroprotective effects, and a greater anti-bacterial function than CBD. We can't say much more, becuase the FDA has irrationally refused to approve CBG for the treatment of specific health or medical conditions.
Where do you source your CBD and CBG?
We grow it! Unlike so many of the CBD brands out there today, we make all of our products from hemp grown on our farm in the hills of Hampshire County, West Virginia.
Why do you produce only full-spectrum products?
Because full-spectrum products are simply the best and most effective. CBD and CBG products which contain a full spectrum of major and minor cannabinoids just work better. This is what is known as the “entourage effect,” in which the primary cannabinoid (like CBD or CBG) is more effective when taken with trace amounts of the others.
Is hemp the same thing as marijuana or cannabis?
Hemp is a member of the Cannabis sativa species of plants, just like the regulated forms of cannabis/marijuana. The difference is a legal distinction. Hemp, under federal law in the United States, is a Cannabis sativa plant which contains less than 0.3% THC. All of our products are made from hemp which satisfies this definition.
Are your products completely legal?
Yes! Hemp and hemp-derived products are legal in the United States. We grow hemp under a license issued by the West Virginia Department of Agriculture. We are also licensed to make and sell products derived from the hemp we grow, and all of our products and packaging has been approved by the state.
Will your CBD products cause me to fail a drug test?
Although it is unlikely, our products could possibly cause a positive result on some tests that are designed to detect THC. Our products contain small amounts of THC and could possibly cause a positive result on the most sensitive tests.
Are your products laboratory tested?
Yes! All of our hemp and products are tested at least three times by independent laboratories before they reach our customers. Our plants are tested for cannabinoid content by the West Virginia Department of Agriculture, and our extracts and products are further tested by independent labs for cannabinoid content and to ensure that they are free from any contaminants.
