CBG is short for Cannabigerol, one of the other major cannabinoids found in the hemp and cannabis plant. It is known as the “mother cannabinoid” because it is the precursor molecule to both CBD and THC. In most hemp and cannabis plants, the CBG is naturally metabolized into CBDA, THCA, and CBCA as the plant matures. In some hemp strains, like our White CBG plants, the CBG remains throughout the life cycle of the plant.
Like CBD, people have reported benefits from CBG. Studies have shown that CBG also has antioxidative and neuroprotective effects, and a greater anti-bacterial function than CBD. We can't say much more, becuase the FDA has irrationally refused to approve CBG for the treatment of specific health or medical conditions.
